VINTAGE

Vintage 2016 saw abundant winter and spring rainfall, but little or no rain from November until mid-March resulting in good flavour concentration.

VITICULTURE / WINE MAKING NOTES

Made entirely from the low yielding Gingin clone, Margaret River’s ‘hero’ clone. The clone is responsible for low yields and high skin to juice ratio in the grapes which results in wines with great depth and concentration of flavours. Harvested in the cool of night, the fruit was picked at 12 Baume and reached the winery at 13 degrees. Crushed, pressed and cold settled with care to preserve the fresh characters. After a cool fermentation in stainless steel vats, the wine received light oak treatment.

TASTING NOTES

A fresh, delicate nose of soft yellow peaches and stone fruits. You’ll find a lovely soft palate framed by racy acidity. The plush bed of subtle tropical fruits are nicely weighted, with the flavours being clean and bright with hints of lemon and spice.  Quite a stylish wine with a long, mouth-watering finish.
