Margaret River

Margaret River is a wine region located in the Southwest corner of Western Australia, about a 3 hour drive from Perth. It’s a region surrounded by the ocean on three sides giving it a strong maritime influence. This means the vineyards are not affected by extreme summer and winter temperatures. Humidity levels are ideal during the growing period and the combination of climate, soil and viticulture practices leads to consistently high quality fruit of intense flavour.

The first vines were planted in 1967 and today there is just over 5000ha under vine and over 150 wine producers in the region. Highly regarded as a producer of powerful yet elegant Cabernet Sauvignon, the region has also forged a great reputation for its white wines notably Chardonnay and Semillon Sauvignon Blanc blends.
